The Sister Esquivel Foundation was born in July 2023, out of love, faith, and an unbreakable bond of sisterhood. When Griselda was diagnosed with Stage 3 endometrial cancer, her six sisters rallied around her with unwavering support. They, along with her husband, friends and church family, held her hand through the fear, the exhaustion, and the unknown, offering comfort, strength, and practical help every step of the way.

 

Through this journey, they realized something profound: the battle against cancer is not just a physical fight. It’s an emotional and spiritual journey, one that no one should ever have to face alone. And yet, too many people do — without a support system to lift them up when they feel they can’t go on.

Out of this realization, The Sister Esquivel Foundation was created.

We provide Real Help for the Other Part of the Fight — the part that often goes unseen. Beyond the medical treatments and doctor’s visits, we address the overlooked emotional, spiritual, and practical needs that arise during this battle. Whether it’s a comforting presence, financial assistance for essential items, or simply someone to listen with love and understanding, we stand in the gap.
